14-day tour where volunteers are taken to Anda, Bohol which is located in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines. Home to the worlds smallest primates the Tarsier & The Chocolate Hills, volunteers will be given the opportunity to participate in community outreach and supervised treatment camps.
In downtime between these activities, day trips will be organised to see various sites around Anda.
This trip is fully supervised by an Australian-qualified Myotherapist who holds a 4-year Bachelor of Health Sciences in Clinical Myotherapy along with additional qualifications and affiliations in Remedial Therapy and Personal Training . Clinical supervision involves participating in treatment camps in the community and volunteers are offered up to 80 hours of clinical observation.
Myotherapists and other allied health professional who provide care for musculoskeletal conditions are welcome join us, as are enrolled students of those fields. All qualified practitioners must hold full membership of their professional association, together with professional indemnity insurance which covers them internationally. Students must provide documentary evidence of currency together with evidence of insurance coverage, either via their educational provider or private policy.
